offer Sunday School School Classes for Pre-K through Senior High...
*Note... our Sunday
School program ends on June 1st. We do however have an
Alternative Children's Experience
during the 10am service for grades K-6th. This
summer the children k-6th Grade will be learning about the being
children of God

Our Pre-K students get to take part in the same
excitement and enthusiasm that the other children do by taking part in our
gathering time. But they also receive the attention they need as they
spilt off into their own space for lessons, crafts, snacks, games, and more.
Most recently we have been using monthly lesson modules on themes like
"rescue 911" and "marching with Jesus"
-Our children who have just begun their "school years" also take part
in the gathering and singing times, and then move into their own space
for lessons and activities. They also took part in the modules where themed games, crafts, and other activities
served to teach important lessons about the place God needs to take in
our lives.
-The
group of veteran Sunday School, our high schoolers are under the direction
of their fearless leader, Laurie Sudds. This past year they watched
portions of contemporary movies and looked for universal truths within those
movies. This approach meets young people where they are at, and then
challenges them to go farther.
-8th grade is an important year in the life of our young people, it is
the year they can enter into our confirmation classes. Our Sunday
School program has lessons that run concurrent with the confirmation lesson
plan. This is a year of intensive Bible study and learning about who
we are as the church, where we have come from and where we are going.
-The
seventh graders took part in a variety of faith issues as they grew and learned
about their own faith. Through dramas, lessons, service they learned what
it means to live their faith.
Recently our PreK through 6th graders have been taking
part in themed monthly module lessons. Among those have been Rescue
911, and Marching with Jesus
Open Hearts Open Minds Open Doors
-This
group begins it's Sunday School lesson during gathering time in the gym with
singing. praying, drama, and fun lesson time with Mrs. Scrafford.
After the gathering time this group spilts into three groups that rotate
around various sessions(Bible, crafts, games, drama, music, snack, theater,
etc.) We are approaching the summer moths when we do a alternative
experience for ages PreK-4th grade.
